[Vwdiesel] DTC code help

I have been asked to determine the meaning of a CEL code and just now 
realized that Shalyn has my New Beetle Bentley that has my list of 
codes in the back (are you listening?  No I don't need it back now but 
I need the meaning of the code!)  so if anyone out there knows, the 
code is 17056.  Isn't this the code for the EGR or is it the glow plug 
code.  A little help would be great. thanks, Hayden

One, yet to be finished, Caddy trailer (the back end of the truck that 
gave its life to my just completed Rabbit Pickup).
And many, many, many VWs; from a 1946 Beetle (11 Beetles total), to 
Vans (5), Rabbits (3), Karmen Ghia (1), Jettas (5), Passat (1), Dasher 
(1), New Beetle (1), and Rabbit Pickups (3) most now gone but not 
forgotten.
