[Vwdiesel] Spray adhesive

HI, Chiming in a little late as usual, I never used the contact cement type 
adhesives for the headliner because I was cautioned that it "eats" the plastic 
material.  Did you find that to be a problem Ray?  What I did was use 
silicone.  I spread it on both surfaces evenly with a small plastic bondo spreader.  I 
found that the headliner stuck back into place pretty well without falling 
back down, although I did recheck it occasionally and resmooth it for the first 
hour or so.  The rather substantial downside is the car smelled of silicone 
for about a month.  Later for now, Doug
