[Vwdiesel] odd CV failure

 He thought the driver's side was OK, so I grabbed the passenger

 I dragged home an A2 for a friend that eventually ended up being one of my
first two diesels; the same thing had happened. She was driving along on the
interstate and it felt like the car just popped into neutral. She coasted
off to the side and that was that. You could grab the halfshaft and wiggle
it all around but the boot was still intact. I never did see what it looked
like inside, her boyfriend fixed it and trashed the shrapnel. He said it was
pretty comprehensively grenaded, though.
