[Vwdiesel] Interesting GP Note...MOM's the Word

This thread sounds interesting.. BUT doesn't a GP thread
stay protected by a gas-tight metal to metal 'seal' at the
bottom of  the hole which is why some GP threads protrude to
the outside world. Maybe the careless or (maybe the
unknowing) spill something onto this interface creating a
leak.
Can't say I've ever had a real problem myself and they've
all come out clean and I've just shoved a new one in. I'll
remind myself to check the next time (that's if there is a
next time now I'm in control of glow time (;o?)
