Do a Google search on "RAPTURE INDEX." 
When scientists start claiming that soon I will be whisked up from my car as 
I drive it, to sit by God &look down on the suffering of others, then common 
sense will have ceased to tell us what is truth.



  Ummm, what does that have to do with taking one set of research on 
faith?  I believe that was the direction things were going.
  Theology is theology.  It varies from religion to religion, sect to sect, 
person to person.  General comparrisons work, breaking it down to 
segments causes the analgy to break down.  Analgies aren't really meant 
to withstand scenario scrutiny, at least I always thought so.

We take certain facts and inferences as believable and true because they 
resonate with what we have previously verified as truth. It is not really 
necessary for me to use DDT in my garden to know what the results will be, having been 
alive in the 50's. Some things just make sense with no leap of faith 
required. Paper mills that dump mercury into the water supply are not a good idea. 
Common sense; no parallel research on my part is necessary. Air pollution caused 
by auto emissions can be detected by our senses; probably a good idea to clean 
it up, right?
To rationalize the usurping of the Earth, based on the belief that the Lord 
is on his way to tighten it all up in the end, and the sooner the better, has 
no basis in fact, scientific or otherwize. 
Maybe its just too much trouble to take responsibility for our greed and 
wastefulness today? Easier to leave it for the next generation - our kids, to deal 
with.
