  Nope, cam can stay in for head removal.  TD can keep the manifolds 
and turbo but NA would require removing the manifolds or pulling a 
couple mounts to rotate the engine.  In my A2 Jetta the head comes 
and Dad's pickup the head comes off pretty easily (both TD) but 
in the Rabbit I nearly have to pull the engine to get clearance.  Just 
about as easy as pulling the manifolds in the car (NA).
