[Vwdiesel] A Passat Request

hey all, hope you had a great Christmas and New Years.
I have a request for the 97-96 Passat owners.
could you try this for me please.
set heater fan to high, full defrost.  Hold your hand over the defrost
vents, and feel the flow.  Now turn the heat selector knob from full hot to
full cold, and back.
What I would like to know is how much drop in flow do you percieve there to
be when the knob goes from hot to cold.  I have a bit of a puzzle, and this
would give me some valuable info.  I expect there to be some, but I feel
roughly half. I'm thinking that's too much, but want to avoid digging
further if this is normal.
