I can see it now....a 4 litre can of paint containing 3.5 litres.


  Haven't bought automotive paint have you?  My bodyman friend was telling 
me several years ago that one particular paint comes as a 3qt gallon!  You 
pay as much as for a full gallon but they consider the reducer and catalyst 
as comprising that gallon.  Even though you buy those separately and add, 
you get a final total of a gallon whereas most paint is a gallon and THEN 
you add.  :-P
