Rabbits 1977 to 1984. .

Glowplugs ?   PITA  PITA PITA   say I. ----PERIOD.

Like I said many times I read  ALL your threads   and I got a flypaper brain.
I remember in full color things from 1935  ----

Why did I never have plug failures ?  --simple -- I was plugged in all the time.(blockheater).

Summer of 2004  Bunny Bondos heater burned out.  NOW I HAVE EMPATHY.

Val Cristian mentioned a ton of times ----find out why they fail ---not just replace.

And remember he has had Rabbits since 1977 and he lives in NY. That alone
makes me listen.

Plugs here are 18 dollars Can.  each.   and Shawn  on BC Vanisle,.looses  all
plugs in a matter of days ?      And the rest of you who lost a LOT of plugs lets
call in the WAR counsel and find a solution.

It is FINAL    a flat Apple Cider in the morning ?   is better   than 10 flat BEER.

We know from Robert Bosch that the new plugs are good for 3 minutes ON
how long OFF he did not say ----I say they cool real fast  -so say 15 seconds.

The OLD plugs were 11Volt plugs  the NEW ?     I shall find out.

In the OLD days a starting battery was Lead   ---2.0 Volts  per cell   --but now ?
does anyone know if those new Calsium battery  types are higher Voltage ?

Flashlight cell 1935 was 1.5 Volt   per cell   NOW ?    my Organic Lithium battery ?
shit I think it is close to 3.0 Volts per cell.

If you loose a lot of plugs ---and the system works as designed ----?   lower the voltage.
A   Silicon Diode is a good way .    In Mark Shepherds  super system  that is an
exstra benifit .      Install a diode in the line ---that increases the life of the plugs
by a substantial amount.   Two silicon  diodes in series is close to a 1 volt drop.

Use 3 diodes if you have to. -----a RESISTOR ?   yes but it does not work the same.

For those of you who are not   part of   Mr.Amperes gang  ---here is my advise

When you jumper from Battery straight to plugs.   Use     # 14 wire   at least 3 feet
long   ( improwised resistor).

PS:    Diodes are used as voltage regulators  as common practice in many devices.
Germanium diode ?   --about 0.25 Vlts   Silicon diode ? about 0,5 volts.
Roger Brown can give you the exact numbers. When I was in to the Kodak stuff
That photobulb   was   rated 5 hours life say ?   And the Flyboys here know that
that Sealed beam Landing light out there is  rated about  say 250 Hours ON ?
And that GE  Wal-Mart 150 Watt soft white  (premium my ass)   120 Volts
RATED life ?   1000 hours.   ---So the plugs have a RATED life.   Lets find
out what it is -----   in the mean time ? reduce voltage 1 volt.

OR PAY THE PRICE.    (by the way remember the TWO systems.)
