I run a set of JBL GTO-320 (3.5") speakers in the dash and some JBL 5.25" rounds in the door of my Caddy.  For the rear of a
Rabbit, you should be able to get anything that matches the size.  In my old '78 Rabbit, I installed a set of 6x9s into the
C-pillars.  I cut them into the sheet metal and then boxed in above and below w/ Bondo to make an air tight enclosure.  That
gave a very good sound.
