I had to go rescue my Jetta today.  After working nights, I am on my ay home and my wife is at the side of the road.  Jetta will idle, but is coughing and sputtering at speed and sometimes downright dying.  I managed to nurse the ladies home.  Now Jetta is in my dad's heated garage ( thank God ! ).  I suspect a bad load of fuel, as I was using Power Service in the white bottle and my wife even double dosed it due to impending temps.  Didn't help.  Here's what I was thinking of doing.    Gallon of gas, gallon of kerosene and a pile of Howe's ( I am out of the PS stuff ... )  Then light her up and go fill up.  The suspect fuel is an hour away from me so I won't have to worry about putting in more bad crap ...
