Thanks go out to Hagar who pointed out on a few occasions that CDN TIRE had
$6.99 ammeters for sale.
I could not resist the temptation any more annd bought one today !  Equus
model #6040 I forget the CDN part#, but a quick search will turn it up.

Golf is parked at the shop (fixed), & I can go pick it up (yet again) this
weekend if I can get it started.
-20*C+/- here these days, so not sure it WILL start. (not w/o a boost from
my 15.5VDC on my Pathfinder anyways).  Next job is a  heater
core.......thanks Mr. Texan ;-)

Now I just have to get the brake pads sorted on my Pathfinder, then I can go
to town and retrieve the Golf. . . always something !
