[Vwdiesel] TDI futures

There could be something to this rumor as my stealership here in Idaho
has been after me to trade in my '03 TDI Golf- even offered to buy in
outright!
Perhaps our TDI's will go up in perceived value even more!

I ran over a big 'ol dead mule deer buck the other night in the dark.
Boy those things are invisible on a black night, black road, black deer.
I busted my intercooler and a bunch of plastic junk.  The car would
hardly run to get home with the air/fuel messed up.  Really boggy.  The
insurance Co. wanted me to let the body shop do the mechanicals (USAA)!
What a bunch of idiots!  I'm sure that VW of USA would love to nix my
warranty based upon that.

I still like the old simple Rabbits even if they won't pull your hat
off.

I just had a very similar conversation with the sales personnel at  
NorthTowne VW in Kansas City.  There will be no diesels imported after 1
April 2005 
until 1 April 2006.  The emission issues were the reasons  given.  They
stated 
that the 2005's will not meet the new emissions  standards.  Of course
we are 
talking to members of the sales staff.
