It is well talked about on a biofuel list that I'm on
that biodiesel is a WONDERFUL cleaner of the fuel
system. But of course as you're worried about that can
clog up filters for the first little bit as it cleans
up those 300k worth of crud.

A large inline filter before the VW filter would be
good. Especially if it was a super cheap one that you
could have 5 or so in your car for replacing whenever
needed.

But if your temps are cool at all be aware that
biodiesel gells at a much warmer temp than dinodiesel.
Something like 40F if I remember right.

With all the possible trouble, I would wait till it
was a bit warmer since you might end up working on it
a few times. I personally would prefer doing that in
warmer weather.
