[Vwdiesel] new SS dual exhaust for my Jetta TD

When we were much younger (about 1948) my buddies and I drove from Ohio to
Florida over the Christmas holidays . During the trip one of our dual horns
stopped working and the remaining horn sounded amazingly like a diesel
locomotive horn. And the exhaust donut had blown out, leaving the engine
capable of making a whole lot of noise.

We didn't need an amplifier.....it was very similar to a diesel locomotive.

We were driving straight through, and were somewhere in Georgia about 2am.
As we slowed down and bumped across some railroad tracks our driver leaned
on the horn, pushed in the clutch, and gunned the engine. The car in front
of us floored it and swerved off toward the ditch, almost out of control.
And the sleepers in our car (including myself) woke up yelling and clawing
for the doors.

Nobody hit anything and everyone survived, but that diesel horn/engine roar
is something you don't want to hear when you are crossing railroad tracks.
I'll never forget that three seconds of adrenaline panic when I thought we
were going to be hit by a train.

So be careful where you blow that horn.
