Ray,
I think if you use stainless that is high enough grade that it is completely
non-magnetic and have pipe wall thickness in the 3/64ths" to 4/64ths"
(1/16") then your system will outlast the rest of the car. On my own 91 TD
Jetta 1.6, I did not use a flex section and chose instead to couple
directly to the stock toilet bowl coupler arrangement.
