Not withstanding that Loren is our resident VW
Mechanic.  ----- Shawn I say this : the
ileage  ---eh Smileage ?   is not the real measure
for a DIY like you .   The heating cooling cycles
are more important. I would suggest.
Anyway the way I do it is by  DIY acquired skill
over many years of  experience.  It will come to
you --sooner or later I am sure.  --- Anytime I
take a VC off I put a wrench on all the
olt  ---if one moves ? it was loose and I do
something about it.  ---- It is a DIY management
issue.

So do not be shy ---DO IT.
