While we're still trying to figure out how to get him
resubscribed, Jeff asked to verify if the head-bolt retorquing
procedure below is correct. I'm a bit apprehensive about breaker
bars, so if anyone has any advice, I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Hi Thanks again for the letter and the help. My Rabbitt book by Bently
says first tourque to 30Ftlbs then 44 and then 55 and finally use a
breaker bar to turn an additional 1/2 turn by 2 1/4 turn movements,
Complex. Let me know about if the above proceedure sounds right and
maybe the guys on the list might know. The proceedure above is the one
recommended for the star bolt pattern bolts I have. I have mechanical
lifters though not hydraulic. As always any help you guys can give is
most welcome.
