[Vwdiesel] heavy-duty alternator for on-board genset ??

I think you could make something like this yourself by employing a small
drive pulley to get high RPM at elevated idle, and an air conditioning type
electric clutch to drive a big alternator of your choice.  At driving RPM's
the auxiliary alternator would have to be disengaged to prevent overspeed
and attendant problems.
