I guess I did
of course my immediate instinct was to get towed to somewhere convenient
but when the cop showed up and said I was fine where I was, I decided I kind of
liked the particular patch of grass I was on
in hindsight, of course, I should have had it towed anyway
I now understand that
1. small town police forces are not necessarily well-organized even if they're
well-meaning; and
2. they may not be well-meaning either

but the van and I are doing fine
about 95% done w/ the reassembly - waiting on some exhaust manifold studs that
somehow got left off the parts order(s)

(and Rolf seldom needs bailing out, although I appreciate the sentiment)

(but what does "shitting in the buckweed" mean ??)
