[Vwdiesel] Starting problems now Airbags.

 Last year, 2 crab trappers had hauled in the last of the day's catch & were loading it into their pick up as night closed in. The trucks headlights flared momentarily, followed by a POP & then darkness. A search under dash revealed a blown fuse - the old glass tube type, of which they had no replacement on hand. They did have a 22 long though which conveniently snapped right into the fuse holder. Voila, lights! Well whatever short circuit originally caused the fuse to blow, heated the 22 to ignition point and shot off the driver's left testicle.
I don't have copy of the original article, but this had been forwarded to me last year from a local paper in Arkansas.

Let me tell you ALL the Rover wires had some kind of braid ---and it survived a 
LOT better
than wiring on a VW that shorts out. ------I like AN wire the one with 
fiberglass braid. I
get mine from an Airforce Dumpster. At Comox. ----Do or DID I wire the rabbits 
with AN
wire ?   ---bet your sweet ass.
