Well, I guess if it was on The Discovery Channel's Mythbusters, it must be true.
I wouldn't bet either testicle, having seen wire as fat as a pencil glowing red hot from a dead short.

This story has been told so many times and in so many different parts of the country that it finally showed up on the Discovery Channel's Mythbusters. Turns out that there is not enough current in ANY fused circuit to set off a 22 shell. TheY really had to put the power to it (more than could be had in any fused circuit on the car) AND cause a short to generate enough heat to set off the shell. Another URBAN MYTH BUSTED!!!!!! Hayden
