[Vwdiesel] Transmission trashing

On the Vanagon trannies, the 3/4 slider hub often develops a crack at its corners.
Sometime in '90 VW began radiusing these corners to lessen the problem. Search the
Vanagon Archives using key words "slider" and "hub" to get lots more info.
