[Vwdiesel] Transmission fluid draining

That makes a whole heck of a lot of sense to put a crap magnet some place
that you can't get to and clean it off. What were those Germans thinking?

  There's a ring and pinioin gear in there.  Angles are different than a 90 
degree set but still a slippage cut gear rather than straight bevel gears.  
Worst part of the tranny is the "crap magnet" is mounted in the rear (as you

disassemble) body, right next to the rear pinion bearing.  Crap builds up
too much 
or breaks loose and there goes the rear pinion bearing.  ALWAYS closely 
inspect or replace and CLEAN the magnet if you have one apart!
