Don't know as I should respond, as I don't feel I have acheived guru status, 
but I'll give it a try.  The n/a pistons are different from the TD pistons in 
that the TD pistons have a cutout to clear the piston cooling oil squirters 
which were not installed in the n/a diesels.  I have heard that the TD pistons 
are also of a more robust designs, but have not had them side by side to 
compare.  I believe the bores are the same, but I haven't bothered to look in the 
Bentley.
