[Vwdiesel] 91 Jetta

My 91 Jetta was like this when I got her. That thing near r/f strut is some kind of barometric thing - hooked to i/p with vacuum line. Picture shows incomplete air intake duct.

Found this on E-Bay and was wondering why it has the LDA but no Turbo, at
least I don't see one, It also has a different fuel filter set up. How many
different variations of the 91 Jetta are there? What is that by the air
intake in front of the strut?
