This is probably off topic as any, but I just have to vent...

Just saw a commercial for the new Hummer 3. Starting price $29K and
change.

Two weeks ago I test drove a nice Passat TDI wagon with a sticker of
$28k.

While some folks can legitimately drive an SUV, when I see such a small
price difference between a monstrous SUV and a 'green' VW, I can only
imagine why people do indeed buy these things.

It just ain't right.

I suppose the only answer is for gov't to step in and mandate a 3x price
for an SUV, but again, I'm not a fan of big G.

Sigh...
