Chuck Carnohan and ALL . :
To me Hagar that is a perfectly happy normally functioning Pump (IP)
IMHO.
All mine do the same thing if idle is set a tad high. So before you do anything else
turn the idle down to the " Shaky Jake " point and then in very very small moves to shaking stops..
(Hillbilly Tuning)
Remember there is only one fueling control COLLAR. . It must move to open bleedholes
instantly. Internal Governor action is the problem.
>From 0 to 850 RPM the governor " RULES " from about 850 to 5400 RPM
your foot " RULES ". from 5400 to XXXX the governor " RULES " .
The way this was done by BOSCH in this type Pump ? ----by " BIAS " springs.
Remember the Governor is a Min - Max RPM -- NOT a variable speed governor.
If your engine braking is non existent --most likely the Idle RPM is set a tad HIGH.
Hagar.
PS : All mine does exactly that. ---- 1.5 L NA and 1.6 L NA and Turbo with
the LDA. ---------- It is a design characteristic ----i.e. normal response.
