[Vwdiesel] tips & suggestions please - side-of-the road engine reassembly

hey all
gonna have my cylinder head back from the shop in a couple days and 
will be re-installing it in the tall grass on the side of the road in 
Amherst, MA
[this is a '93 EuroVan DIESEL (AAB-type)]
there's a lot of things I'm keeping in mind but I'm sure to forget 
something crucial (I don't have a manual with me - in fact, if anyone 
is feeling especially saintly and wants to scan me the pages on head 
re-installation I would be much indebted)

and any miscellaneous tips/reminders/admonitions will also be greatly 
appreciated
