Loren,

Planes are funny. I did quite a few plane rides for chicks when I
was 18 and 19. Two years ago I gave a ride to my son (17 at the time)
and his current flame. Boy did I hear it from her Mom, and the other
Moms! They wanted rides. Go figure.

Plane rides were funny. I remember a babe from work pestering me for a
ride. I finally scheduled a night flight, and was going to take her for
a circle over Niagara Falls while the lights were on. At the last minute
she asked if "Jake" could ride along. That probably doesn't happen in a
914.

The Rabbit was no Mustang or Camaro, but clean and shiny, chicks would
ride in them. I think it had something to do with the colors. Some of
the New Beetle colors are similar, but not the same.

My 16 year old daughter, who's life is mostly as a basketball player,
somehow decided that she wants my 91 Jetta as her wheels. Daily pestering
to clear the garage for a cylinderhead pull. She's read Bentley, and
has created a sequenced list of the things we're doing on a spreadsheet.
A week ago we started it up, and ran it around the loop several times
to get the rust off the rotors. I haven't heard the end of it yet.
I wonder if she thinks it'll be a guy magnet?
