[Vwdiesel] 5 speed transmission

 I've got a 4
speed tranny. Now, this is not an issue of improved mileage or anything
like that, its just I don't feel very comfortable driving 65mph for
extended periods with the engine sounding like my motorcycle when I've
got it pegged at about 12,500rpm.

I'm pretty sure that final drive ratio of four speed is about the same ratio 
as final drive ratio of five speed. Five speed just has ratios closer for each 
gear.
