[Vwdiesel] Pyrometer

Well the garage is coming together, keep your fingers crossed that they can
pour the final concrete tomorrow and the final hook up of main power from
house panel to garage panel will be on Thursday. This means it is getting
closer to the Jetta tear down and inspection. Now I have been doing some
thinking and since I will have full access to the exhaust. What EGT gage is
recommended and where is a good place to mount the pyrometer. I got an A3
down pipe from my understanding this is a better set up than the A2 down
pipe and toilet bowl set up.  Do I put the pyrometer in the cast exhaust
manifold or in the down pipe?  Any special tricks to doing either? I got all
my parts together, so it is just a matter of finding out why the rings
didn't seat and then going back together with it and breaking it in
correctly.  Oh and what aircraft oil was that again for break in?
