Subject: Nozzle selection --- ( Old Rabbits mostly )
Is it possible to use existing TD injectors with new n/a
nozzles AND the TD shims? Seeing as the TD versions are as
common as hens teeth.

Mark Shepherd and ALL : Read Loren and Gary Bangs and your answer is right
at your fingertips.
If you do "Hillbilly Tuning" ----many combination of nozzles and pumps will work.
I drive a VW Rabbit 1984 1.6L Turbo 063 nozzles set at 155 bar. . Manual control of
LDA and getting 78 Miles to a gallon imp and GOOD performance. Not bad for a 20
year old 4 door light metallic blue ---cutie.
Bosch is NOT VW ---so the same nozzles are used by many many different types of engines.
, so identify nozzle by looking at number ---deeply engraved on upper part.
063 is specified for 1.5 L NA. and yes I use it in a 1.6L Turbo ---------- works like stink.
Other nozzles I tried : 103 --- 193 ----- 273 ----293 ---- .and more.
BUT ---- NOTICE --- like Loren said long time ago ---start your TUNING with NEW nozzles.
I took his advice --even if it cut down on my Beer budget. ---so I know the difference it makes.
Believe me I have lots of old serviceable nozzles sitting on the bench. ----Great little
buggers for playing with.
If you use dial indicator on the pump ? use the specified Nozzles.
Autohaus Arizona is a scumbag outfit ---fallse advertising ---believe me. (or not)?.

PS : My mind is in Grand Central in New York 1953. ----Baby meet me under the Clock.
How I miss those years. --------- Real STEAM.
