[Vwdiesel] TDI Starting Poor

Mark,

I give you lots of credit, but I will not relinquish certain
claims. I will go toe to toe with you for cheapness, but I am
willing to buy VAG-COM and put a laptop in the car, so that I
can diagnose, and hopefully fix, problems, without getting any
dirt under my fingernails.

Besides, I don't drink coffee, nor iced tea, so I wouldn't have
any to use.

I suppose I could install a dewar of liquid nitrogen, and dabble
some on the sensor prior to starting. Might work. Besides, just
pour some liquid nitrogen on your "friend's" tire, and then hit
it with a hammer. Shattered tires (or roses) leave interesting
debris.

To all of you, this minor TDI problem should be a lesson. Eschew
complex systems. If you can install a switch to glow plug, instead
of a relay (or in the case of a TDI, a computer), then do so.
Besides, in cold weather, it makes it harder for someone to steal
your car.
