I've only had it a week and it's the old filter (I know, I know). The
previous owner bought it with the TD in it, and says the engine was
rebuilt 10k ago. But, since he didn't do the work, he couldn't tell me
much about it. Overall, there's a lot of clean work done (wrapped
wires, covered lines, looks like very few shortcuts, which makes me feel
better about the previous-previous owner).
The FRAM will be gone this week. I usually run FleetGuard filters.
LF3314 in the 1.6NA, The 1.6TD FrankenJetta will be getting the LF3451
(higher bypass pressure valve). I just need to find a supplier here in
Anchorage (tomorrow's project). Last time I got a case of filters for
the 1.6NA truck shipped up from Seattle.
