[Vwdiesel] Fuel line I/D's

Karl M. reports that 14-15 psi results in a cleaner burn and lower EGTs on his 1.9TD
AAZ. But his is also intercooled, uses raceware head studs, and a stainless head
gasket (stock on the 1.9). So whether 14-15 is safe long term on the 1.6TD in stock
form is uncertain. I would think that the head gasket would be the first thing to go. If
you are looking for more power, intercooling is probably a safer route - this is what
the factory did in some Euro spec 1.6TDs that were rated at 80hp. Fitting an I/C in an
A2 can be a real challenge though!
