[Vwdiesel] Salvage yards or places to get used 1.9 diesel engines

I would love to have 1.9 to put in the Rabbit. There are times that the
1.6 struggles to keep up with traffic around here, then you throw two or
three passengers in and the pedal never leaves the floor.

What I was thinking, is they should just come to Canada and buy up all
the rust buckets with still serviceable running gear in them for about
$300/each. The cars here are rotted rotted rotted ! (compared to most
other places I've been on the continent)

I just came back from a 1 week trip to WI,USA and only saw a very very
few rotted out cars. Around here, if your car has rust on it, it's
probably 2-3 years old........more rust, and it's prolly 7-10 years old.
Older than that, and it's a restored classic.

..........or a $100 1986 Bondo Golf :-)
