Finally, I'm paranoid.  I run a chain through the spring, after it's
compressed, incase something decides to slip or let go.  Also, I 
bought two sets of spring compressors, and I typically use three
compressors, instead of a pair, to provide more redundancy.  Working
on cars would not be as much fun without my hands or fingers.


Spings ?     ---and danger ?   right up my alley.(Hagars).

There are two types of spring chickens ----- those who wound up in ER and those who did NOT.
Then there are the ----"Victor Rattrap big toe"  gang  -----yes I am a member of both.

I first came face to face with a killer spring ---in about 1945 .    A wind up Phonograpf

So NOW ? I am really nifty around sprigtime.     ----------My Rabbit spring time ? ---
easy as apple pie.   Remove without compressor --installing completely compressed.
Then cutting the "Straps". ------------NO PROBLEMO.

Doyt Echelburger -----IF a spring is containing say 1 HP --hour  ---and you let it rust ?
where does that 1 HP -hour go ?.-----ok   ok   I know this is simple minded. It is bound
to set of Mark Shepherd.

PS : yes SIR I made a DIY compressor  --from readyrod   ---half inch NC. and splicing
nuts. ---Worked like hot shit --but very slow.
