Here's a quick stab at the prob...
This diesel purge may have still given you an improvement
of 5 to 10% on your 'satisfactory' readings. The change you
are describing is immediate and not a gradual gumming so I
would look elsewhere; namely your injectors. I will reread
your postings unless this has already been covered and I've
been sleepwalking again ;o)
