 I've posted about my experiences of this some months ago...
If the pipework isn't actually cracked...
 Take pipe off and  get an eyepiece and look at the belled
out end...
It will look like an upsidedown blueberry muffin with the
spillageof  muffin over the muffin case simulated by a
groove in the steel from repeated 'extra tightening'
deforming the steel . Using a honeing stone remove groove by
'filing the crust' above the groove towards the line.
