Wow.... I love passionate people, even if some can be a tad judgemental in
the heat of it....
A couple of things though... Using solar power directly isn't going to let
me roll around the woods in my 2.5 ton 4WD TD VW sleep anywhere van...
but anyway I think our days for doing that might be numbered so we should
enjoy it while we can.
It's been quite a number of years since Europeans have paid what US
Americans are paying now for fuel. (diesel is around USD 1.32 a litre today)
It's going to get a lot more expensive as time goes on...
We have to accept that a drastic lifestyle change is going to happen over
the next 50 years.... I'm not going to be around to see it but people I know
will be...
I think a typical scenario is what took place in the UK in the 60's or early
70's. A commission was set up to investigate alternative energy sources,
lots of different ideas were presented including a turbine which continued
to rotate no matter which direction the flow was, salters duck etc. Of
course, in the end nothing was acceptable for development...
And who were the "experts" making the final decisions? The UK Atomic Energy
Authority, who else....
So let's not talk about propaganda... Isn't it a bit like taking the VW
dealership word as gospel??
I think a large proportion of the worlds population wouldn't notice an
energy crises the way we would.... So maybe it's time for us to learn
something...
have fun doing it.. (ps. Some people asked for some info, I'll try to find
some in English...)
and that's it from me...
