The next order improvement would be to capitalize on the varying
torque available out of a VWdiesel engine to increase efficiency
and long life further.
Ideas anyone?
Val
Yes indeed Val and ALL. : Industry dumped a lot of those types of drives in the dumpsters.
and I hustled my ass down to the dumpster and got one for FREE ------very expensive looking
thingy. ---- Now that will go perfect with your idea of a 4 pole alternator.
At low power demand 1800 RPM and at maximum demand say 4500 RPM..
I am still a DO NOT USE TORQUE -----use RPMs on these diesels. They are designed
as high speed diesels -----and as such they do not like high cylinder
pressures. ----AND read my lips ----Gensets are notorious for opening the throttle full
power on a load being applied.----------
Other than that I am gong-ho on VW gensets using the 1.5L VW diesels. ----perfect
combo.
Hagar.
PS: And for the newbies -----look up Roger Browns home page ----to see the
SAE pars on VW diesels ----curves are all there.
