It is a transaxle, and the fill volume I use is 2 liters (2 qts. + 3-4 oz).  A little tricky to lube, GL-4 oil is probably the 
best.  GL-5 oils will work but they tend to be a little too slippery for the synchros to work right, so either add some limited 
slip friction modifier or use GL-4.  The Redline Manual Transmission lubes (MTL and MT-90) work well, giving the best shifting 
performance:
