[Vwdiesel] timing issue FOUND

Question, is there suppose to be a woodruff key in the crank gear?  Just
kidding, I know there is suppose to be one, and guess what, mine is gone. I
just hope I don’t need a new crank. The end of the crank is not in the best
of shape. So I need a new crank gear and woodruff key, that is if the crank
is still good,  It explains it the problems to a T now, every time the
pistons got some compression they fired off but the timing belt would slip.
Just my luck. Oh and for the record, I went through the Bentley with a fine
tooth comb, I can’t find in it anywhere that states you can’t reuse that
crank bolt.  Can someone post the exact page and paragraph for me so I can
mark it. I found the torque plus you turn it another ½ turn. But no mention
of not being able to reuse it.
