My TD does that. Reason says that carbon sticks to the turbo wheel with easy
driving, and comes loose on high boost / high RPM


  Doesn't fit though really.  The only buildup you'd get is from the oil 
blowby and it's not going to stick to a wheel doing 100K rpm rather 
than 125K rpm.  Even if you drive it easy, you can still run the boost 
up there so it's not likely to be puddling in the turbo either.  
  I was thinking along the lines of a little saturated carbon on the 
intake valves ala Scott Kair but even then it shouldn't build and 
clear in one good romping.  I figure it must have something to do 
with the LDA, either the diaphragm response or the plunger's pin's 
response.  Haven't figured out how though.
  I get a similar kind of thing but moreso when it's coldish.
