[Vwdiesel] Citric Acid--foam flaps

Well, the flaps themselves aren't made of foam. They
are metal with holes in them. (Why there are holes, I
don't know.) VW used strips of self-adhesive foam to
cover the holes and help seal the flaps against the
heater air control box.

The foam eventually gets old, rots off, flies in your
face, and allows hot and cold air to mix. Only
solution is to replace the foam.

I am NOT talking about the flaps right at the vents on
the dash that turn them on and off individually. I am
talking about the ones buried in the dash in the
heater air control box.
