A few months back, someone mentioned EVANS COOLANT as being the way to go. Runs w/o pressure. Sounded good, but pretty expensive per gallon.
I've always used ethelyne glycol mixed 50/50. OK with aluminum, but ferous metals rust after a while. Ive had a few of those steel coolant pipes rust from the inside out. Maybe additive is necessary after a few years to rejuvinate the rust proof qualities.

I've always used a generic ethylene glycol - even on brand-new Volvos and G12 VW's. I just make sure I flush-out all of the old coolant. I've haven't seen any problems yet. Is there something more to G12 that I don't know?
I did see someone put 'DexCool' - I think it was orange - into a Volvo with ethylene glycol and it turned to goo. Blew the head gasket promptly.
