Here's a picture for Gary (who can survive hurricanes but is struggling
without his 'Q' ;o).
It's also for Loren (A Dash[er]ing man who owns an ancestor of this...

Up date... the anti freeze is not thick but a flourescent green
consomme...
Been driving the car for a whole day now; and here's my feelings so far:
Everything feels stiff... No play in anything. All locks feel like they
have been greased and turn slowly. Lifting the dead locks is hard almost
like my parts car that has the pneumatic central lockng. Gear shifter feels
like I'm pulling it through treacle.
No smoke to speak of on acceleration (also tested this last night with
someone at my rear with their lights on).Turbo spools up nicely from about
1500rpm. Runs at about 4psi at 70mph. Only reached 8psi so far.
There is actually a cold start lever! ... Managed without one for these
last few years..;o)
Shock absorbers... work (unlike the ones on my other car. ;o)
Tyres seemed fine but on checking at the local air line, found them to be
only between 17 and 19psi!!! Upped them to my favoured 35psi.
Looks tidy even if it does have a little rust.
Downside
Still no A/C :o(
No tow bar (I have several somewhere)
No sun roof (They're renowned for trouble anyway; and besides it'll help
keep the sun out with no A/C ;op
Exhaust is standard issue smallbore... (I'll replace it with the direct
bolt-on '5000' stuff)
Rear pneumatics are loathe to hold up the rear door (funnily it worked both
when I bought it; and yesterday when I was transferring my junk out of the
other car?)
Auto glow plug system (indicator at least ) doesnt give glow for some time
after a run... Car still starts, but a few revs needed. I prefer my manual
over-ride switch I made on the other car.
Economy yet to be tested (gissa-chance (8O)
So For £130 what have I got?
My sixth Quantum...
11 months road worthiness certificate; about half a tank of diesel
(£25-worth)?
Worcester Sauce provenance ;o)
