[Vwdiesel] HELP getting rear doors open

  I know that mine won't open if the lock was down or part way down and 
you try to open it from the outside.  The only way it'll open is to lock it 
good and solid and unlock it solidly.  Sometimes it takes a couple tries 
to get that right THEN the outside door handle will work.  
  I remember someone on r.a.m.vw.watercooled fighting through this and 
finally came up with a solution but most options wouldn't work at all.  Just 
wish I could remember how he ended up doing it other than thinking it was 
possibly breaking the outside handle off.
