[Vwdiesel] heater core

The 85 1.6na is in Royal VW in Birmingham for a recall on the heater core. I
hope all will go well. I went in armed with info from you guys. I called VW
US at their 800 number and got a case started. They didn't show the recall
had been done, but said I needed an evaluation by a dealer. This dealer
seems to have some good mechanics aquainted with the A2 and knew it wasn't
too big a job on the 85. I'll find out by Friday.
PS I towed it to the shop an hour away with a tow bar bolted to the bumper I
beam after taking off the cover. Seems to be solid and doing ok although I
can't recommend it to anyone else.
